Region 5
Who: No. 1 Poland (25-0) vs. Akron Buchtel (19-5).

When: Today, 8 p.m.
How they got here: Poland won the Austintown district, beating Ursuline in the final, 65-51, on Thursday. The top seed, the Bulldogs beat Crestwood and West Branch along the way. The Bulldogs were tied with Dayton Carroll for the top team in state in the Associated Press poll. Poland is led by Sarah Bury, an All-Northeast Inland District first team selection, and Jackie Grisdale, a second-team honoree. Bury leads the Bulldogs with 15.4 points per game while Grisdale averages 12. Akron Buchtel was the top seed in the Uniontown Lake district. The Griffins defeated Norton, 55-49, in their district final. Buchtel beat Tallmadge in the sectional final and Canton South in the district semifinal.
DIVISION III
Region 9
Who: Champion (20-5) vs. No. 6 Doylestown Chippewa (24-1).
Where: Cuyahoga Falls High School.
When: Wednesday, 6:15 p.m.
How they got here: Champion won all three of their playoff games by 29 points or more. The Golden Flashes, the top seed in the Lakeview district, beat LaBrae, 56-27, in the district final on Saturday. Second-team all-district selection Emma Gumont leads Champion in scoring with 14.3 points per game. Teammate Abby White also adds 13.5 points per game. Each Wooster district playoff game got progressively closer for Doylestown Chippewa. After beating West Salem Northwestern 57-29, the Chipps beat Apple Creek Waynedale 40-26 in the district semifinal and Loudonville 51-50 in to claim the title. Celina Koncz leds the Chipps with 16.5 points per game and Grace Lindquist adds 12.7 a game.
DIVISION IV
Region 13
Who: Dalton (21-5) vs. No. 7 Western Reserve (22-3).
Where: Massillon Perry High School.
When: Thursday, 6:15 p.m.
How they got here: Second-seeded Western Reserve ousted top-seeded McDonald 46-39 to win the Mineral Ridge district on Saturday. The Blue Devils beat Leetonia and Brookfield in its other playoff games. First-team all-district selection Dani Vuletich leads the Blue Devils with 20.5 points per game and second-team honoree Alyssa Serensky averages 11.5. Dalton was the No. 1 seed in the Norwayne district. The Bulldogs beat Ashland Mapleton and Hartville Lake Center Christian before topping East Canton in the district final, 47-27. The Bulldogs are led by a pair of Inland district first-teamers. Makenna Geiser averages 15.6 points per game for Dalton while Emma Cannon averages 14.3.
