Park to host tree workshop

BOARDMAN

Dan Slagle, executive director of Boardman Park, will host an “All About Trees” workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16 at the St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park.

Topics will include the benefits of trees, purchasing the correct tree for the space and how to plant and maintain trees. Properly maintained trees will reduce pollution, help control storm water, lower energy costs, improve the appearance of the community and increase the property’s value.

The workshop is free but registration is required by calling the park office at 330-726-8105, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
