Sugar Shack Shindig

What: Come out to the Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association’s Sugar Shack to see what it takes to make our favorite sugary breakfast treat – maple syrup.

Pig Day
When: Today, 10 a.m.-noon
What: The year of the Pig began in February and National Pig Day is celebrated each year on March 1. We will do our own special celebration of the pig with games, crafts and a visit to the barn to see Penelope, our resident pot-belly pig.

Hypertufa Cast Basket Planter
When: Monday, 6-8 p.m.
What: Sculptor Dan Dinsio will walk you through the process of mixing the components of hypertufa and making a cast with an old basket.

Barks, Buds, Twigs & Sap
When: Sunday, noon-2 p.m.
What: Herbalist Leah Wolfe will demonstrate how to identify winter twigs and buds, provide lessons learned in collecting sap and provide a tea made from barks. If weather permits, we’ll take a walk.

The Fundamentals of Green Gardening Course

Spring Gardening Workshop
When: April 27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
What: Join us to get inspired for the 2019 gardening season. Learn from two keynote presentations on home landscape design and vines for the landscape. Do a make-n-take alcohol ink tile for the garden, choose from six breakout sessions, win door prizes and have tons of fun. Garden Art Sale all day. Handmade items by master gardener volunteers.
