NEWTON FALLS

Jake Saxion scored 21 points to lead Pymatuning Valley. Nick Sapp added 10 for the Lakers. Newton Falls was led by Adam Honeycutt with 16 points and Gage Friend with 15. The Lakers will face Edgewood in a district semifinal at 7 p.m. Monday.

Waterloo 67, United 47

ATWATER

Led by Caleb Francis with 18 points, Waterloo rolled past United. Vaughn Dorsey added 14 points. United was led by Parker Hydrick with 17 points. Landon Baker and Keaton Baker added 10 points each. Waterloo will meet Mogadore in a district semifinal Monday at 7 p.m. at Salem.

McDonald 89, Wellsville 54

MCDONALD

Zach Rasile scored 43 points, including six 3-pointers to lead McDonald. Rasile now sits at 2,017 career points, becoming the 25th boys player to eclipse 2,000 career points in OHSAA history. Dominic Carkido added 13 for the Blue Devils, and Josh Celli and Jake Portolese netted 11 each. Wellsville was led by Justin Wright with 18 points. Luke Green (13 points), Garrett Scott (11), and Derrick Suggs (10) also reached double figures. McDonald advances to take on Lowellville Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Struthers.

Springfield 76, St. Thomas Aquinas 63

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Shayne Eynon led the Tigers with 21 points. Evan Ohlin and Clay Medvec each scored 16 while Adam Wharry netted 12. Springfield advanced to a district semifinal against Sebring on Monday at Struthers Fieldhouse. For the Knights, Javaz Mincy led with 14 points while Hunter Geissinger and Cadence Brown had 11 apiece.

SEBRING

Gabe Lanzer led the Trojans (13-10) with 20 points and eight rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were Jake Hunter with 17 and Zane Peterson with 10. Sebring advances to the Struthers district to play Springfield on Monday at 7 p.m. For the Blue Devils (11-13), Justin Sweeney finished his varsity career with 19 points, six rebounds and four steals. Michael Davis scored 10 points.

Bristol 50, Warren JFK 44

BRISTOLVILLE

Gage Elza and Matt Stephens scored 12 points each to lead Bristol (19-4). The Panthers trailed 15-7 after one quarter and 23-22 at the half. JFK was led by Gianni Eaton with 23 points, including five 3-pointers. At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Bristol will face the winner of today’s sectional final between Mathews and Andrews Osborne Academy. The district semifinal will be at Grand Valley High School in Orwell.

KINSMAN

Badger erases a 24-20 halftime deficit, led by Aiden Miller with 26 points. Logan Lendak added 22 points for the Braves. St. John was led by Jacob Artman with 15 points and John Castrilla with 14 points. Badger will meet Windham at 7 p.m. on Monday at Grand Valley.
