Boardman’s Beeghly Oaks Center for Rehabilitation and Healing hosted it’s first Cupids Corner event on Feb. 20.
Recreation Director Traci McCoy said the event was designed to celebrate married couples that have gone through Beeghly Oaks.
“We have some couples here that have been married for 60 plus years,” McCoy said.
Due to inclement weather, many couples were unable to attend the event, opening it up to anyone who was interested.
Performer Donnie Abraham sang live music for those in attendance. Artist Vince Ornato was also present, drawing caricatures of the attendees.
“We wanted to do something special to celebrate the couples who are here with us and those who were discharged,” McCoy said.
The center also provided a hot chocolate bar for attendees, including a variety of candy to add to the drinks.
“It’s just a fun event for people to come and celebrate Valentines Day,” McCoy said.
