The weather was bright and sunny on May 11 at Austintown Township Park as the Austintown Lions Club hosted their 24th annual 5-K Run.
The event began with a Kids Run, which was won by 8-year-old Rylan Pacanowski of Austintown.
The overall men’s winners were first place - Luke Hickman, second place - Jonathan “Scooby” Bolha and third place - Bob Floor.
The overall women’s winners were first place - Michelle Kim and second place - Melissa Kim.
In the men’s masters category (40-years-old and older), winners were Mark Nemenz (first place), Butch Caimano (second place) and Heath Morgan (third place).
The women’s masters winners were Penny Felger (first place), Geniene Hankey (second place) and Terry Yarian (third place).
Serving as chairman for the event was Lion Larry Jensen, who has kept the post for all 24 years. The Lions thank all of the sponsors who made this run possible. The finish line was provided by the Youngstown Road Runners Club.
