Pop superstar Lionel Richie will return to Covelli Centre on Saturday for an 8 p.m. concert of his greatest hits.

Tickets are $125, $89.50, $69.50 and $59.50 and on sale at ticketmaster.com (fees apply) and the Covelli box office.

“The last time we had him the show sold out, and it was one of the most requested acts to bring back,” said Eric Ryan, executive director of Covelli, in a March interview. “It will be a Saturday night show again and a good time – a night of hits.”

Richie, who last performed at Covelli in 2016, is one of only two songwriters in history to have had No. 1 records for nine-consecutive years. He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and has received an Oscar Award, a Golden Globe, four Grammy Awards and the MusicCares Person of the Year Award. He was also a 2017 Kennedy Center honoree.

In March 2018, Richie put his hand prints and footprints in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood, one of the oldest awards in Hollywood.

Richie is known for his string of hits, including “Endless Love,” “Lady,” “Truly,” “All Night Long,” “Penny Lover,” “Stuck on You,” “Hello,” “Say You, Say Me” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.”

He co-wrote one of the most important pop songs in history, “We Are the World,” for USA for Africa. His song catalog also includes his early work with The Commodores, including hits such as “Three Times a Lady,” “Still,” and “Easy.”

Richie, who was a judge on ABC’s “American Idol” the past two seasons, completed a three-year Las Vegas residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort in October.

In recent years, he also headlined major music festivals including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Glastonbury.
