It is now officially summer, and the personal finance site wallethub, for some reason, has decided to rank every state according to how many (per capita) fun things it has. Ohio was respectable. Here’s a glimpse on where the Buckeye State stands among the 50 states in various categories:

v No. 5: Golf courses and country clubs per capita

v No. 9: Movie theaters per capita

v No. 14: Restaurants per capita

v No. 18: Amusement parks per capita

v No. 18: Performing arts theaters per capita

“Highwire Live in Times Square with Nik Wallenda” (8 p.m., ABC): King of the Highwire Nik Wallenda and his sister, Lijana, seventh-generation members of the Wallenda family circus troupe, will return to the highwire for a never-before-attempted walk of approximately 1,300 feet long and 25 stories above street level, across New York City’s iconic Times Square.

“Claws” (9 p.m., TNT): After discovering Mac and Melba’s surprise gift in the salon, Desna and the crew go to their “fundraiser” to retrieve information to use against them.

“Fear the Walking Dead” (9 p.m., AMC): Charlie makes a friend, while Strand, Wendell and Sarah’s rescue mission hits a snag. Elsewhere, Alicia, Luciana and Morgan struggle to fulfill their mission.

Butler museum lecture series with art experts

YOUNGSTOWN

The Butler Institute of American Art is offering evening hours every Wednesday this summer, with a lecture by art experts.

The museum normally closes at 4 p.m. but will be open until 8 p.m. every Wednesday through Aug. 28. The free lecture series, which will feature prominent art scholars, will begin at 7 p.m. on select Wednesdays in the Zona Auditorium. Here is the schedule:

July 10: Barbara Haskell, curator of Whitney Museum of American Arts, “How the Mexican Muralists Reshaped American Art, 1925-1949.”

July 17: William Underwood Eiland, director, Georgia Museum of Art, “Reading American Pictures: Meaning in Paintings from the Georgia Museum.”

July 31: Sarah Kelly-Oehler, curator of American art, Art Institute of Chicago, “We Too Look at America: Charles White and Chicago’s African American Artists.”

Aug. 7: Timothy Standring, Gates Family Foundation curator, Denver Art Museum, “American Responses to French Art During the Second Half of the 19th Century.”

Sept. 18: Eric Widing, deputy chairman, Christie’s Americas, “The Collection of David and Peggy Rockefeller: Behind the Scenes at the World’s Most Valuable Auction Sale.”
