JUNE

Thursday — PTSD Awareness Event at The Links at Firestone Farms at 8 a.m.. All funds will go to local veterans and their families handled by American Legion Post 290. Price includes golf, dinner, bands, car and motorcycle show. Golf is limited to 100 golfers (25 teams).

Friday — Tamer Win Golf and Country Club Junior Tournament. Call 330-637-2881.

Friday — Veterans’ Outreach fourth annual Golf Scramble at Mahoning Country Club. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost is $60 per person and $240 per team. Dinner only costs $20. Coffee and donuts will be served in the morning and sausage and chips at the turn. Saturday — 15th annual New Bethel Baptist Church Scramble at Pine Lakes Golf Club. Registration is from 1-2 p.m. Tee times from 2-4:15 p.m. Cost is $75 per player and includes lunch and dinner, 18 holes with a cart and skill contests.. Call 330-559-4501 or 330-743-5921.

JULY

20 — The ninth Annual Chuck Housteau Memorial Golf Outing at Bedford Trails. Breakfast/registration at 8 a.m. with 9 a.m. shotgun start for four-man scramble. Cost is $75 per golfer and features breakfast, lunch, dinner, beer, pop, water, 50/50 raffle and basket raffle. Contact Charlene Kozak at 330-707-7175.

29 — Valley Christian Athletics Golf Fund-raiser at Avalon Lakes. Four-person scramble is $100 per player and includes greens fees, cart, breakfast, hot dogs at the turn, steak luncheon and beverages. Prizes and contests will be available. Event will raise funds for needy students to attend Ursuline High School, where Maughan taught, coached and worked as athletic director for more than 40 years.
