Wizardly World event in Kent adds bar crawl

The popular Wizardly World of Kent event, formerly known as Kent Potterfest, draws people from all over Ohio and beyond. This year, Main Street Kent has partnered with Magic Hat Brewing Company to add another fun element to the weekend – the Wobbly Wizard Bar Crawl.

The event will take place the evening of July 26, which is the day before the main event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 27, downtown.

The bar crawl will begin at Barflyy Retro Bar and Arcade, where ticket holders will check in anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. to pick up their crawl passes and wizardly giveaways, including color-changing event cups, custom-designed lanyards, and more. Each guest will also receive one entry to win a grand prize in the July 30 drawing.

Meet up with friends, have fun pictures taken in costume, then head out for a magical evening in downtown Kent.

Participating bar crawl locations are Barflyy, Dominick’s, Euro Gyro, Franklin Hotel Bar, The Loft, Panini’s, Ray’s Place, Venice Cafe, Water Street Tavern, Zephyr Pub, and 157 Lounge. There is no minimum number of locations to visit or purchases to make; guests are invited to stop at as many or as few locations as they wish. Tickets are $15 and can be purchase din advance at eventbrite.com.
