Association announces scholarship recipients

The Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association and its sponsors recently awarded 22 scholarships to graduating seniors, one continuing-education scholarship, one post-graduate scholarship and one medical scholarship for a post-graduate student. The recipient, scholarship name and amount are as follows:
Janna Jackson, the Dr. and Mrs. Michael Pikos Scholarship, $2,500 and the Anne Koulianos Memorial Scholarship, $500
Rita Marie Torres, the Dr. Richard Barr Scholarship, $2,000
Angelina Davis, the Mary Barker Memorial Scholarship, $2,000
Joseph Sebest, the Captain William Toti Scholarship, $2,000 and the John Kovach Memorial Scholarship, $1,000
Matthew Logan, the Class of 1968 Memorial Scholarship, $1,600 and the George Pontikos Memorial Scholarship, $600
Iree Carter, Mick’s Merit Award (in memory of Mickey Soroka), $1,500 and the Dr. William and Mrs. Delores (Schrieber) Suarez Scholarship, $1,000
Kayla Gavlek, the Michael Elias Maillis/Nicholas Ellinos Memorial Scholarship, $1,500
