Astro Falcons 11, Eaglewear 3

The Astro Falcons scored in five straight innings to emerge victorious over Eaglewear. Dylan Durkos picked up the win for Astro, tossing 31/3 innings of scoreless baseball in relief. Blaine Barr took the loss for Eaglewear, surrendering five runs in two innings of relief work. AJ Havrilla led the way for Astro with two hits, three runs scored and an RBI. Griffin Widirig hit a two-run double and scored while Tino Campoli and Eli Harpalini each scored twice in the Astro victory. Hayden Fox had a pair of hits and drove in a run for Eaglewear.

Knightline 3, Whiting Roll-Offs 2

Knightline held off Whiting Roll-Offs Monday evening in Class B action at Springfield High School. Jake Corll went the distance for Knightline to pick up the win, yielding two unearned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts without a walk. Nathan Hayes suffered the loss for Whiting, giving up three runs — two earned — on just a pair of hits, while striking out four and walking one. TJ Piroch had a hit, a run and an RBI for Knightline. Thomas Kling and Drew Delgarbino each drove in a run in the win. Ethan Bintrum led all hitters with three hits, including a double, while scoring a run in the game for Whiting.
