SENIOR CITIZENS

Freetimers will host its monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. All Youngstown State University retirees are invited.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at Lowellville City Hall Conference Room. Lunch will be provided. For reservations, call Paula Kacic at 330-718-2856. Brenda Perry, president, will preside. New members are welcome; Lowellville residency is not a requirement. Ralf Urack, from OH WOW! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, will speak. A light lunch will be provided by the committee, followed by a Strawberry Ice Cream Festival dessert. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet June 12 at Drake’s Landing Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The social hour will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch at 11:45, followed by the meeting and program. Susan Harris will preside. Jim and Toni Amey from the Idora Park Experience will provide the program. Volunteer hours from January through June will be collected. The community service donations will benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Grilled chicken salad or the buffet lunch, which includes pot roast, pasta, mashed potatoes/gravy, roasted veggies, tossed salad, rolls and pineapple upside down cake will be served. PERI Chapter 56 will meet June 12 at Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 North River Road NE, Warren. (This is a new location).
