SENIOR CITIZENS
Canfield AARP 3104 will sponsor a bus trip to Jamestown, N.Y., Sept. 17 to 18. Participants will tour the Lucille Ball Museum, the Desilu Playhouse, Valvo’s Candy Factory, National Comedy Center, dinner cruise on Lake Chautauqua and more. Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday for its annual picnic. The picnic lunch will be provided by the committee president, Brenda Perry, and Paula Kacic. For reservations, call Paula Kacic at 330-717-2856 by Monday. New members age 55 and older are welcome; Lowellville residency is not a requirement. Birthdays and anniversaries for July and August also will be acknowledged. There will be a 50-50 raffle and bingo. PERI, Mahoning County Chapter 18 will meet at noon Aug. 6 at the Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Cost is $13 and there will be a 50-50 raffle. A social worker from the Adult Protection Agency of Mahoning County will be the guest speaker. All public employees and retirees under O.P.E.R.S. are invited to join the Mahoning County Chapter 18 meetings. Meetings will take place at noon Oct. 1 and Dec. 3 at Avion on the Water. Membership fee to join is $10 yearly, and can be paid at the meeting. Spouses may also join for a $5 yearly fee as associate members.
Youngstown Baseball Oldtimers will sponsor its annual golf outing at 10 a.m. Aug. 7 at Mill Creek Golf Course. A short meeting will follow play, and refreshments will be served. Those attending should call Nick Granito, 757-287-1127, or Dan, 330-540-8751.
