St. Pat’s Church fest begins this week

HUBBARD

The 61st annual St. Patrick Church Parish Festival will take place Aug. 1 through Aug. 4 on the church grounds at 357 N. Main St.

Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Aug. 1 and Aug. 2, 5 p.m. to midnight Aug. 3, and 3 to 11 p.m. Aug. 4. Admission is free.

The band schedule is as follows: House Band, 8-11 p.m. Aug. 1; Hern Brothers, 8-11 p.m. Aug. 2; Fabulous Flashbacks, 8-11 p.m. Aug. 3; Demos Papadimas, 3-6 p.m., and Generation Rock, 8-11 p.m. Aug. 4.

The festival will also feature a 5K race Aug. 2, raffles, food, rides, games and bingo. For information, go to saintpatsfestival.com.

Holy Apostles plans summer picnic day

VIENNA

Holy Apostles Parish of Youngstown will have its summer picnic Aug. 4 at Strossmayer Center picnic grounds, 193 Stewart Road. Admission is $5 (free for children 12 and under). Festivities will start at 11 a.m. with an outdoor Mass by Rev. Joseph S. Rudjak. Picnic food, including barbecued lamb, will go on sale at noon.

The event will also include a bake sale and a cash bar. Live entertainment by the Mikey Dee Band, Happy Hearts Tamburitzans and the Od Srca Adult Tamburitzans will run nonstop from noon to 6 p.m.

There will also be raffles and children’s activities. Food and coolers can not be brought to the grounds. For information, call David at 330-270-1571.

Monster truck tour returning to Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour will return to Covelli Centre Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Show times will be 7:30 p.m. both nights.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com and the Covelli box office (fees may apply).
