Canfield-Poland’s Bridget Kelly collected six RBIs against the Michigan-based Edwardsburg. Mia O’Palick struck out three batters and Alaina Francis an Alaina Scavina each had two strikeouts. Canfield-Poland will face Indiana’s Zionsville Little League today at noon.

Creekside won to advance to the quarterfinals. Means Transformers also advanced to the quarter-finals by way of a wild card bid. Colby Anderson picked up the win for Creekside, tossing four shutout innings in relief. Danny Beistel slugged three hits, including a pair of doubles, driving in four runs and scoring two more in the game. BJ Arnold had three hits, two runs and an RBI while Brady Hansen added two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Brooklyn Bonnie Jays 8, Knightline 6

Tom Pitko took the loss for Knightline, yielding five runs on ten hits in just over two innings of work. Dante Jocelyn picked up the win for Brooklyn, allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings of work, striking out and walking three batters each. Colton Stoneman had two hits and two runs scored in the game for Knightline. Tom Kling slugged two hits, scored a run and drove in a run. Zach Yaskulka hit a two-run homerun for Knightline.

Astro won to advance to the quarterfinals. Andrew Russell went the distance in the win for Astro, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out six and walking only one. Chase Franken led the way for Astro with a pair of hits, two RBI and a run scored. Braeden O’Shaughnessy hit an RBI double and scored twice while Josh Hoffman hit an RBI double and scored a run of his own in the game.
