Phantoms’ 10th season to open with games on 3 consecutive nights

The Youngstown Phantoms will open their 10th USHL season with three games in three nights.
The first two games will be played at the DICK’s Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic on Sept. 26-27 in Cranberry, Pa.
Andrew Goldman, Phantoms president, said on Thursday that the Fall Classic schedule has not been released.
The Phantoms’ home opener at the Covelli Centre will be Sept. 28 at 7:05 p.m. against the Madison Capitols. It will be the first of 30 games at the Covelli Centre.
The Phantoms’ first four games in October will be at home — Oct. 4-5 against the Muskegon Lumberjacks and Oct. 13-14 against the Chicago Steel.
The Sioux Falls Stampede, the defending Clark Cup champions, will visit the Covelli on Nov. 22-23.
On Dec. 31, the Phantoms will play the Lumberjacks in Muskegon, Mich.
The longest road trip of the season will be March 20-21 when the Phantoms travel to Fargo, N.D., to play the Fargo Force.
The regular season will close with home games against Team USA on April 17-18.
The playoff format remains the same as the past two seasons. The top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs.
The top two teams in each conference will receive a first-round bye. The third- and fourth-place teams will be home for all games in the best-of-three opening round.
The playoffs will open on April 20.
Phantoms Phlex ticket plans are on sale now starting at $150 for 10 games and five parking passes.
Full-season tickets plans start at $325 for the attacking zone seats.
