The Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host Brain Games for seniors at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Quaker Room. Other games and activities will be available for individuals and small groups of friends or acquaintances to use at no cost.
Registration is not required. Brain Games is open to the public. For information, call the library at 330-332-0042.
Class to celebrate reunion Aug. 3

The Cardinal Mooney High School Class of 1979 will celebrate its 40-year reunion at 6 p.m. Aug. 3 at The Fireplace, 2075 E. Western Reserve Road. Appetizers will be served at 6 and dinner at 7. JCC to host fun run
YOUNGSTOWN
The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, will host JCC Dash and Splash 5k and Family Fun Run/Walk at 9 a.m. Sunday. Participants will begin at the JCC main campus and end at the JCC Logan campus where they’ll splash into the outdoor pool and enjoy food and entertainment for the entire family.
Day of race registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7 a.m. at the Logan campus. All runners and walkers will be bussed from the Logan campus to the main campus for the start of the race. Register online at jccyoungstown.org/dash or contact the bursar’s office at 330-746-3250, ext. 195.
Genealogy program scheduled at library

Published genealogical author and lecturer on genealogical and historical topics Deb Root Shell will present the program “Three Civil War Soldiers Stories: Researching the Civil War” at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Quaker Room of Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St.
The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and registration is required and may be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or call the library at 330-332-0042 for assistance.
Food truck festival planned

Shepherd of the Valley will host a food truck festival from 5 to 9 p.m. July 26 at Eastwood Field, 111 Eastwood Blvd. Cost is $10 for each vehicle, regardless of the number of people attending.
