v Summer Festival of the Arts, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Final day of this annual event on the Youngstown State University campus that is known for its art market; ysu.edu/sfa.

v Summerfest, noon to 6 p.m.: Greek food, music and culture at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 220 N. Walnut St., Youngstown, near Choffin Career Center and just a short stroll away from the Summer Festival of the Arts at YSU.

Firestone Farms wine festival

COLUMBIANA

The 2019 Columbiana Wine Festival will take place rain or shine Friday and Saturday at Town Center at Firestone Farms, 101 Town Center Ave. Gates will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

The 21-and-older event will feature samplings from Barrel Run Crossing Winery & Vineyard, Diletto Winery, L’uva Bella Winery, Mastropietro Winery, McKim’s Honeyvine & Winery, Sundog Cellars Winery and Cidery and The Vineyards at Pine Lake.

Bands will include One Cello, Manhattan Band, The Conkle Brothers, Black Wolf & The Thief and The Wrangler Band.

No Swine Left Behind and A Moveable Feast (vegetarian option available) food trucks will be on hand, and there will also be a dozen artisan gift and art vendors.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the gate, and include 10 tasting tickets, a souvenir Wine Fest glass and event program. A $10 designated driver ticket is also available and includes two coupons for beverages (cannot purchase wine).

Fireworks display gets makeup date

Boardman Park’s Independence Day concert and fireworks display has been rescheduled for July 27 at the Maag Outdoor Theatre.

The Youngstown Area Community Concert Band will perform at 8 p.m. and will be followed by the display.
