HONORS
Nico Ruggieri of Boardman, a senior at Berklee College of Music studying music business and management, has been selected for the Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship from Live Nation and the Music Forward Foundation.
The scholarship was established to support customer service expectations of fans, artists and employees within the live entertainment industry.
Ruggieri has impressed his professors with his passion for music, interpersonal and leadership skills, talent as an emcee, business savvy and strong desire to make positive change for students and audiences. He is a student ambassador and recruiter in the Office of Admissions at the college and has served as a house manager at the Berklee Performance Center and the Boston Lyric Opera.
Allen McCabe, a native of Canfield, has been elected to the board of directors of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. VVMF is the nonprofit that built and maintains the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. McCabe has been a volunteer at the wall for more than 18 years.
