Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association is celebrating 100 years of amateur radio this year. The club is asking any former members or anyone with information about former members to reply. CLUBS

Friends of the Mahoning River will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Oak Hill Collaborative, 507 Oak Hill, Youngstown. Parking is in the rear of the building. Ohio State Sen. Sean O’Brien, D-32nd, will speak about bringing climate change to Mahoning Valley, Gov. DeWine’s H2Ohio Initiative and other topics related to watersheds. Trumbull County Travel Club has the following trips planned: Aug. 14, the oddities of the Canton area; Sept. 9-17, vacation to South Dakota; and a Nov. 2 outing for a gingerbread tour in Pennsylvania. William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. July 20 in the Kravitz Deli meeting room, 3135 Belmont Ave., Liberty.
