Boardman won an elimination game and advances to meet Poland on at 6 p.m. Thursday at 6 p.m. on Field L-1 at Fields of Dreams for the tournament championship.

Austintown 10, Howland 2 Canfield 8, Poland 3

BOARDMAN

Austintown eliminated Howland has been eliminated and will play Poland today in an elimination game at 6 p.m. at Fields of Dreams on Field L-2. The winner advances to the championship game against Canfield at 6 p.m. Thursday on Field L-1 at Fields of Dreams.

Poland’s victory eliminated Howland. Poland advances to meet Boartdman in the championship at 6 p.m. on Field L-1 at Fields of Dreams

Canfield 12, Austintown 2

Canfield rolled to a mercy-rule win in five innings to eliminate Austintown. Canfield will face Boardman in the championship game at 8 tonight on Field L-1 at Fields of Dreams.

Jared Mindek had two hits, an RBI and scored twice, Clay Wiesen had two hits including a double and scored twice and Jared Liepheimer had a triple, three RBIs and scored once for Prospects. Nate Shaw had two hits including a double, two RBIs and scored once for Astro.

DuraEdge 5, Astro Falcons 2

Mike Galterio had two hits, an RBI and scored once while Sam Basso had a double for DuraEdge. Aidan Miller had two hits and Nick Aryes had a double and scored once for Astro.

Prospects 6, Whiting Roll-Offs 3

David Leslie had two hits including a double, three RBIs and scored once for Prospects. Andrew Frank had two hits and scored once while Jake Vitale had a double and RBI for Whiting.

Knightline 13, DuraEdge 1

Knightline scored six times in the top of the second inning to blow it open. Brett Bobin pitched just over three innings to pick up the win, allowing just one run on four hits. He struck out one and didn’t walk a batter. Colton Stoneman helped lead the way for Knightline with a pair of hits, including a double, and three runs scored. John Ritter had two hits and drove in two runs while Travis Harvey and Zach Yaskulka each added a hit and two runs scored to the winning effort. Jones hit an RBI double for DuraEdge.

Astro Falcons 11, Avalanche 0

Ricky Havrilla pitched a complete game shutout for Astro, allowing just two hits while striking out eight and walking only one. Burke Camper had two hits for the Falcons, including a double and a run scored. Chase Franken slugged a three-run double and Brayden Beck hit a two-run double and scored a run Bryce Warwick added a hit, an RBI and two runs scored two the Astro assault. Mikial Torres banged out a double for Avalanche.

Late Monday

Whiting Roll-Offs 10, Avalanche 6

In a wild game, it took Whiting 10 innings to dispatch of Avalanche. Gavin Mims pitched six scoreless innings in relief to earn the victory. Caleb Lombardo had four hits for Whiting, scored twice and drove in a run. Ethan Bintrum slugged three hits, scored three times and drove in two. Vincent Sibeto had three hits, including an RBI triple, and scored a run and Tyler Kamerer also had three hits and had three RBIs. Collin Brainard had two hits and two RBIs for Avalanche. Jenry Falcon hit a two-run double.

Whiting Roll-Offs 10, Eagle Wear 0

Whiting scored in bunches in every odd-numbered inning to make short work of Eagle Wear. Garrett Donaldson tossed a three-hit shutout to record the victory, striking out seven and walking three. Ethan Bintrum led Whiting with three hits, including a double, and also scored three runs. Tyler Kamerer slugged a triple and a double and had four RBIs. Gavin Sims hit a pair of doubles and drove in two runs. Cre Calabria added a hit and scored twice.
