Ice cream social planned at town hall
WAYNE
The Wayne Town Hall 3280, corner of state Route 322 and 193, will host an ice cream social from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Patrons will be able to make their own sundaes. Also available will be desserts, sloppy joes, hot dogs and beverages.
The event is by donations only, and there also will be a Bluegrass jam. The social will take place rain or shine and is being sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Wayne Missionary Society.
Art series takes place at YWCA

YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., will host a Beach Glass Workshop from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Instructor will be Tracy of Broken Beauty Beach Glass. Attendees will make their own necklace or bracelet. Ancestral home to host open house
MINERAL RIDGE
Moss Ancestral Home, 1499 Burnett St., will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. A campfire will follow. Bill Moss will dress in Native American attire and will present a program. Those attending should take their own chair.
SOV to host food truck festival

Shepherd of the Valley will host a food truck festival from 5 to 9 p.m. July 26 at Eastwood Field, 111 Eastwood Blvd. Cost is $10 for each vehicle, regardless of the number of people attending. Library to host ‘Stitches in Time’
SALEM
Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host “Stitches in Time” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 17, in the Quaker Room. The program takes place the third Wednesday of each month for anyone who enjoys thread and yarn handwork such as knitting, cross stitching, crocheting and embroidery.
