Accident closes part of Glenwood Avenue

YOUNGSTOWN — Glenwood Avenue between Hawthorne Street and West Woodland Avenue is closed after an SUV traveling north hit a utility pole at Ridge and Glenwood avenues and flipped over onto its roof.

The driver was taken to a hospital for minor injuries. He is expected to be charged with failure to control.

The accident caused scattered power outages in the area.
