The first Austintown Intermediate School Art Show took place on May 6.

All students from Miss Houston’s and Mrs. Sheridan’s art classes created pieces for the show. Ribbons were given in each grade for first, second, third and honorable mention.

Every child’s work was framed by the Artome company, and parents had the choice to purchase a frame for their child’s work to take home. A percent of the sales will go to help buy more art supplies for next year’s art classes.

Each homeroom made different projects, such as abstract designs, watercolor landscapes, tempera paint landscapes, tempera paint seascapes, watercolor sea turtles, cut paper collages and much more.

Students began work on their projects in January of this school year and spent many weeks working on their projects.
