Photo exhibition at Soap Gallery
YOUNGSTOWN
“How We Used To Be,” an exhibition of works nationally and internationally published photographer Bryon Miller, will open at 6 p.m. Friday at Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., downtown, and run through the end of the month.
In the show, Miller explores the interconnectedness of memory, realized and forgotten, and what nostalgia might mean to each of us.
“‘How We Used To Be’ is a journey into nostalgia, and how the customary nature of certain objects and visual stimulus play into our psyche,” said Miller. “Furthermore, it captures how intertwined we are to one another through these things. Using images coiled in psychedelia, I am attempting to capture the initial spark in which these things became relevant in our lives.”
Miller is an editorial, portrait and commercial photographer residing in Cleveland. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Billboard, Alternative Press, Vice Magazine and many others. For information, go to squarepeg.studio.
