Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host its next “Gettin’ Crafty” class “Bling Thing” at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Participants will choose an item to “bling out” with the available materials. No two items will look the same. All materials will be provided and the program is free. Registration is required and seating is limited. Sign up online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or call 330-332-0042 for assistance.“Gettin’ Crafty” class is held on the second Monday of each month and features a craft for beginner to intermediate crafting skill.
Learn to use Google Docs at library

Google Docs is a web-based application that can be used to create, edit and store documents and spreadsheets online. Files can then be accessed from any computer that has an Internet connection and a full-featured web browser.
Class instruction on the use of Google Docs will be provided by technology instructor Kathy Bennett from 4 to 5 p.m. July 9 in the Quaker Room on the Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St. Seating is limited, and registration is required. Register online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or call the library for assistance at 330-332-0042. This class is open to the public and free to attend. The class is provided through a Guiding Ohio Online grant made by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the State Library of Ohio.
New CEO announced for St. Vincent de Paul
WARREN
St. Vincent de Paul Society Trumbull/Ashtabula/Portage District is announcing Darlene Snyder-Jones, of Warren, as its new Chief Executive Officer. She will be responsible for restructuring the organization, which will include implementation of a new business model, expanding current programs and services, determining gaps and overlaps in are safety-net services as well as donor development for the three-county area.
St. Vincent de Paul Society is an association of Catholic lay men and women who serve the underprivileged. The organization operates a dining hall and thrift store locally and provides daily home-cooked meals, food pantry boxes, low cost clothing, furniture and household goods and emergency services to needy resident in Trumbull County.

Students receive SAP awards
YOUNGSTOWN
Five students who recently received master’s degree in accounting at Youngstown State Unviersity are also the recipients of the SAP Awards. Christopher Hammond, Amanda Snowden, Marc Centofanti, Sarah Mathews and Sara Salman were presented the awards by Ray Shaffer, director of the Master of Accountancy program in the YSU Williamson College of Business Administration.
