YSU has 101 athletes named to HL honor roll

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State had 101 student-athletes named to the Horizon League’s Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Candidates must participate in a least one Horizon League sport during the most recent season, complete three semesters as a full-time student at the same institution and hold a grade-point average of at least 3.20.

The local YSU student-athletes on the Horizon League Fall 2018 Academic Honor Roll are below:

Baseball: Joel Hake, Ursuline; Lucas Nasonti, Champion.

Women’s Basketball: Sarah Cash, Lordstown; Melinda Trimmer, West Branch.

Men’s Golf: Ken Keller, Cardinal Mooney; Jason McQuown, Poland; Evan Standohar, Girard.

Swimming & Diving: Taylor Tofil, Cardinal Mooney.

Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country: Myron Anderson, Lowellville; Derek Basinger, Girard; Alan Burns, Boardman; Joe Pfeffer, Austintown Fitch; Ryan Sullivan, Howland; Chad Zallow, Warren JFK.

Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country: Iva Domitrovich, McDonald; Nicolette Kreatsoulas, Poland; Antonella LaMonica, Warren JFK; Raquel Markulin, Canfield; Caitlyn Trebella, Girard.
