Trump to say when, where he'll hold 2nd North Korean summit

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says he'll announce next week the site and date for the second summit he's planning to have with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un near the end of February.

Vietnam has been considered as a venue, along with Thailand, Hawaii and Singapore.

Trump tells reporters in the Oval Office that his administration is making what he calls "tremendous" progress on North Korea.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says he's sent a team to Asia to "lay the foundations" for steps toward denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Despite that optimism, Trump's director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, told Congress on Tuesday intelligence information doesn't support the idea that Kim will eliminate his nuclear weapons or the capacity for building more.
