NEOMED announces appointment

ROOTSTOWN

Northeast Ohio Medical University announced the appointment of Michelle M. Mulhern, M.P.A., to the position of chief of staff and secretary, board of trustees. Mulhern had been acting as interim chief of staff to fill a void that occurred with the departure of Carolyn Lanier. Prior to assuming the interim position, Mulhern served as executive director, administration and associate board secretary at NEOMED. Mulhern, who has more than 20 years of higher education experience, began her career at Kent State University working within the division of business and finance. In 2006, she joined NEOMED in the office of the president and dean, College of Medicine, working directly with Dr. Lois Margaret Nora. In addition to her previously mentioned roles, she has served as executive assistant to the president.
