St. Christine’s Catholic School celebrated the Christmas season with a living Jesse tree on Dec. 21.

Teacher Mary Ann Huzicka said that students worked for weeks to prepare for the presentation.

“They practiced, and memorized their parts, they really worked hard for this,” Huzicka said.

Fifteen sixth-grade students participated in the tree, with a select few dressing up in costumes representing the lineage of Jesus.

Students formed a “tree” which represents the family tree of Jesus, ending with two students who represented the parish today.

Along with students who dressed in costumes, students memorized lines for introductions to each student in costume.

“They have a lot of fun,” Huzicka said.

The presentation took place during the school’s annual Christmas Mass.
