NEW FRANKLIN, OHIO

An Ohio man has pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found ablaze on the side of the road.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports 46-year-old Daniel Jones entered his plea last Friday to murder, felony assault and abuse of a corpse along with other charges in the death of Kerri Blondheim.

Authorities say the 43-year-old’s body was found in September along the border of Barberton and New Franklin after a passer-by reported a roadside fire.

The medical examiner’s office says the woman had been beaten and suffered trauma to the head and neck.
