Every Wednesday, the Poland library hosts yoga in the large meeting room.

The Friends of the Poland Library sponsor the event, keeping a percentage of the $10 entrance fee to benefit library programs.

Yoga Instructor Susan Trimacco runs the class every week.

“It’s gentle to intermediate, and we give modifications so it’s for everyone. It’s not geared towards one fitness level,” Trimacco said.

She said that the class has a core group of attendees, but is always open to new people.

Most members of the group bring their own tools, including mats and rollers, but Trimacco said that she always brings extras for new comers.

“It’s a little different because its not just yoga,” Trimacco said. “We call it self mild fashion release.”

She explained that using rollers the class works to release tension in the body, which Trimacco compared to a self massage.

“It’s great for people that have tension in their body it’s good for muscles that are over used, under used and old injuries,” Trimacco said. “It helps put fluid back in those areas. It’s like getting a deep tissue massage.”

Trimacco said this service is unique, with only one other instructor doing it locally.

Each week classes are one hour, starting at 5 p.m.
