The Rust Belt Theater Company will present the first three episodes of “Stuck,” a serial comedy, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by calling 330-507-2358. “Stuck” is a live theater sitcom that takes place in Youngstown. It is being written by Mahoning Valley residents James Hain, Lynn Sabeh and Mary Boldish James. The episodes have been directed by James and Amy Anne Kibler.

“Each episode runs approximately 30 minutes, with short commercial breaks for local businesses and organizations. It’s like watching a primetime comedy, but live,” said Robert Dennick Joki, Rust Belt Theater director

The story follows Ronnie Hudson, a Youngstown native and single mom navigating her way through the mountain of bills, feuding neighbors, an ex-husband who can’t seem to let go and an adult daughter with whom she doesn’t always see eye to eye.

There will be six episodes total in the first season. Episodes one and two premiered in November and December but audiences will now have the opportunity to “catch up” and binge the first three episodes in one night.

The cast includes Jack Rusk, Celena Coven, Kage Coven, Lisa Torrence, Katharine Skaggs, Abigail Kremm, Rachel Clifford and more. Special guest actors also appear through the run.
