No. 2 UConn 88, Temple 67

PHILADELPHIA

Napheesa Collier had a season-high 30 points and 12 rebounds and Crystal Dangerfield set a career high with 26 points to lead No. 2 UConn to a victory over Temple. UConn remained undefeated in league play since joining the American Athletic Conference, improving to 106-0. Megan Walker added 11 points and Katie Lou Samuelson had 10 for UConn. Dangerfield added nine assists. Aliya Butts had 17 points to lead the Owls, who lost their sixth straight. Temple got within 66-52 early in the fourth quarter, but UConn methodically pulled away. The Huskies led 42-25 at halftime despite missing 10 of 13 3-point tries. Dangerfield shot 6 for 8 in the opening 20 minutes, and finished the half with a coast-to-coast layup after a UConn defensive stop to make it a 17-point game at the break. Temple coach Tonya Cardoza, who helped UConn to five national titles as an assistant coach there from 1994-2008, fell to 0-12 against the Huskies.

No. 11 Texas 73, TCU 67

AUSTIN, TEXAS

Joyner Holmes scored 17 points, Sug Sutton made four free throws in the final 10 seconds and No. 11 Texas held on for a win over TCU. Danni Williams added 15 points for the Longhorns. Charlie Collier had 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting and Destiny Littleton 11. The Horned Frogs cut it to one twice in the fourth quarter but never had an opportunity to tie or take the lead until forcing a Texas turnover in the final minute trailing 68-65. Sutton stole the ball with 16 seconds left and hit 5 of 6 free throws. Jordan Moore led TCU with 20 points and Amy Okonkwo added 18.

No. 13 Gonzaga 86, San Diego 61

SAN DIEGO

Katie Campbell had 17 points and Laura Stockton had 10 assists, both career highs, and Jenn Wirth added a double-double to lead No. 13 Gonzaga to a win over San Diego. Chandler Smith led the Bulldogs with 18 points. Wirth had 13 points and 10 rebounds. After San Diego scored the first four points of the game Gonzaga reeled off 18 straight, seven from Smith. San Diego had a 14-5 run in the second quarter to cut the deficit to four but the Wirth twins, Jenn and LeeAnne, combined for seven points and Smith had a 3-point play as the Bulldogs closed half with a 10-2 run for a 41-29 lead. Aminata Dosso led San Diego, which has lost six straight, with 13 points.

No. 18 Iowa State 104, Oklahoma 78

AMES, IOWA

Ashley Joens had six 3-pointers and 25 points, both career-highs, and No. 18 Iowa State blitzed Oklahoma to end a two-game losing streak. With Madison Wise, Bridget Carleton and Kristin Scott making two baskets apiece, four of them 3-pointers, the Cyclones raced to a 16-0 lead. Wise added a third 3-pointer, Joens had two to match Carleton and Iowa State tied a program record for points in a quarter, leading 39-11. Wise had five 3s and 17 points, Alexa Middleton and Meredith Burkhall added 14 apiece and Carleton had 13. Burkhall had 10 rebounds. Ana Llanusa had a career-high 35 points for the Sooners, making four 3-pointers and 15 of 18 from the foul line. Jessi Murcer added 18 points.
