Austintown Fitch broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Raiders 13-4. Sabria Hunter and Taylor Fronk each scored 13 points for the Falcons. Faith Burch scored a team-high 12 points for Warren Harding and Kamarah Bender added 11.

Alliance Top Gun Tournament

ALLIANCE

West Branch’s Christian Wayt (120) won his third Top Gun title. The state’s No. 1 wrestler for Division II for his weight class clinched the title with an 8-1 victory against Carrollton’s Brandon Brown. Wayt was named the tournament’s MVP. The Warriors were the highest scoring area team, taking fifth place with 109 points. Austintown Fitch’s Gus Sutton (138) made it to the finals but was pinned by Erie McDowell’s (Pa.) Jeff Boyd. Boardman’s Mike O’Horo placed third after taking a 10-1 major decision against West Branch’s Neil Ginnetti.
