Phantoms change time of hockey game

Due to the snow forecast, the start time of Saturday’s Youngstown Phantoms-Cedar Rapids Rough Riders hockey game at Covelli Centre has been moved up to 5:05 p.m.

It was originally scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. For information or tickets, call 330-747-7825.

‘Portraiture’ exhibit opening is delayed

Due to the weather forecast, the opening reception of “The Art of Portraiture from Life” exhibition at the Trumbull Art Gallery has been postponed until Jan. 26.

It was originally scheduled for Saturday.

The reception, which is free to the public, will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery, 158 N. Park Ave.

Opera singer to give concert

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music will present a series of events surrounding the guest artist residency of Maria Temesi, soprano at the Hungarian State Opera, and Michael Baron, pianist and professor at Florida Gulf Coast University.

The duo will perform a recital next Friday 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave. Admission is free. The program will include works by Stradella, Schumann, Handel, Mozart, Liszt, Puccini, Verdi and Wagner

In addition, they will also host a Voice Masterclass on Thursday in Bliss Recital Hall from 4 to 5:50 p.m. and a Piano Masterclass next Friday in the hall from 2 to 2:50 p.m.

Both classes are free and open to the public.
