The Fusillos celebrate golden anniversary

Joseph and Clara Fusillo of Boardman recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a family dinner hosted by their children at The Lake Club in Poland.

The couple’s children are Deanna Fusillo of Boardman and Joseph (Melina) Fusillo of Canfield. Their grandchildren, Julian and Kenna Fusillo and Peter and Alex Hernandez, and great-grandson, Micah Fusillo, complete their family.

Mr. Fusillo married the former Clara Pellegrini on Nov. 23, 1968, at St. Charles Church in Boardman.

Mrs. Fusillo has been a self-employed hairdresser for 54 years. She works at Shear Elegance in Boardman and at Burlington.

Mr. Fusillo retired from General Motors. He also was the owner of the Vista Lounge in Youngstown and the former owner of Fusillo Flooring before retiring in 2005. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

The couple are members of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica in Youngstown.
