Center to host job fair

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown EnVision Center on the city’s east side will conduct a combined jobs and education event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Center for Community Empowerment in Rockford Village, 1420 Dogwood Lane.

Local employers with current job openings will participate in the fair. The event is felon-friendly with assistance on hand from Community Legal Aid for job seekers experiencing barriers to employment. Local nonprofit United Returning Citizens is a major organizer of the job fair.

The education fair, which will also be conducted in the CCE gymnasium, will feature educational opportunities available to everyone. Organizers are eager to show attendees various programs and certifications available to help people learn new job skills. Representatives for skilled trade apprenticeship programs also will be in attendance.
