Murray, Phantoms blow out Lumberjacks

MUSKEGON, Mich.

Brett Murray scored two goals as the Youngstown Phantoms beat the Muskegon Lumberjacks 5-1 at L.C. Walker Arena on Saturday.

Matthew DeMelis, Jack Malone and Gianfranco Cassaro also scored for Youngstown (15-12-1-3). Bobby Lynch scored for Muskegon.

Chad Veltri made 40 saves for the Phantoms. Brandon Bussi stopped 14 shots for the Lumberjacks (24-7-1-0) and reserve goalie Ryan McInchak stopped 11.

The Phantoms will end their road trip with Team USA on Tuesday. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
