Boardman Community Baseball — will conduct player registration at www.boardmanbaseball.com through Feb. 17. Baseball is available for ages 4-18. Softball ages are 4-14. Playing age determination date for boys is Aug. 31. For girls, the date is Dec. 31. Registration also will be available on Feb. 16 from noon-3 p.m. at the Fields of Dreams on McClurg Road. Thiel College Winter Baseball Camp — is scheduled for Jan. 13, Jan. 20 and Jan. 27 for players ages 8-18. Poland All-Sports Booster Club — will sponsor basketball tournaments for fourth-sixth-grade boys and girls teams on Jan. 26-27 and Feb. 2-3 at Poland McKinley Elementary school, Poland Middle school and the old Poland High School gym. Springfield Intermediate School and Springfield High School — will be the site of a tournament for boys and girls in grades four-six. Dates are Feb. 17-18, Feb. 24-25 and March 3-4. Cost is $100 per team. Pool play will be followed by single elimination games. Registration and entry fee is due Feb. 4. Tournament is limited to first eight paid entries per division.
