Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association will celebrate 100 years of Amateur Radio during 2019. The Club is asking any former members or anyone with information about former members to reply. Tri-Gold Prime Time Chapter of ABWA will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at A La Cart Catering, Canfield. Lunch is $19, and will be served at 1. Menu includes quiche Lorraine, chicken a la King, scrambled eggs, sliced ham, fried potatoes, linked sausage, fresh pastries and fruit, juice, coffee and tea. CLUBS

Altrusa Club of Youngstown will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnny’s Restaurant in Boardman. Dinner begins at 5:30, and a business meeting and initiation of new members will follow. Mahoning Valley Chapter of Polka Dot Powerhouse will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Upstairs Restaurant, 4500 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. Positive women interested in business and personal connections can attend their first meeting at no cost. The cost of lunch is from a limited menu. Registration is required to attend, and space is limited. The speaker will be Dr. Nicole Ranttila, Psy.D. who is in private practice in Boardman. Steel Valley Ukers will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Michael Kusalaba Library. Those who are interested in learning ukulele are encouraged to attend. The group meets once a month at the Austintown Library, usually on a Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. and also at Michael Kusalaba library once a month on a Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The focus is for beginners during the first half of each session, followed by more complex group tunes and solos the last half. Youngstown Chapter of The Links Inc. will host its Black Diamond Leadership Brunch at 10 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Embassy Banquet Center, 5030 Youngstown-Poland Road, Youngstown. The brunch will honor the accomplishments of African American male leaders in the Mahoning Valley.

Bob Dellimuti, chef at DiLucia’s, will share details of how his passion for cooking became his purpose in establishing a successful business. Applying New Attitudes and Direction, National Eating Disorder Association, will meet at 9 a.m. Jan. 12 in the Founder’s Room at Notre Dame Church, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage, Pa. Boardman Historical Society invites the public to its monthly Speakers Series. This month’s lecture will take place at 10 a.m. Jan. 12 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park. NAMI Mahoning Valley offers Connections support groups for adults living with mental illness, in a discussion format, to promote self-disclosure in a safe, relaxed, supportive and confidential environment. Connections meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 6 p.m. at Alta Care, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. NAMI Mahoning Valley also offers Family Support Groups that provide information and support for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness. Family groups meet the first Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. at Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St.; and the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Alta Care. Dual Diagnosis Group meets the first and third Monday each month at the Homes for Kids office, 165 E. Park Ave., Niles. Youngstown Area PFLAG will have its monthly support meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Youngstown Area PFLAG (Parents, Families, Friends, and Allies) is a support, education and advocacy group united with LGBT people to move equality forward. Support meetings are the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are free and confidential. Parking is available in the church lot off of Wick Avenue.
