Man identified who was shot and killed by Niles police

WARREN — The Trumbull County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was killed by Niles police Wednesday at the Royal Mall apartments off state Route 46 afternoon as Matthew S. Burroughs, 35.

The coroner's office and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating the 2:30 p.m. killing, according to a coroner's office press release.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will be conducting an autopsy on Burroughs' body.
