FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. Cost is $7. No need to pre-order or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will offer Swiss steak dinners from 4 p.m. until sold out. Participants may dine in or drive through. Menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, applesauce, roll and cupcake. Cost is $10.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $2. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

SUNDAY

Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus 3930 will sponsor a sausage and pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The menu consists of sausage and a variety of “all-you-can-eat” pancakes and beverages. The cost for adults is $5 and $3 for children 12 and younger.

Pacentrano Club, 2629 Craiger Ave., is serving spaghetti dinners from noon to 4 p.m. every Sunday during football season. The dinners are $9 each for sit-down or takeout. For information or to place takeout orders, call 330-788-3393.

St. James the Apostle Parish, 4019 state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will host John’s Breakfast Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children. Menu includes French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or apple syrup, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and cheese, bacon, sausage, ham, home fries, toast, fresh cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk.

St. John Orthodox Church, 2220 Reeves Road NE, Warren, will host a fish-fry dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 11 and 25. Cost is $11. St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will host a chicken dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 13. Cost is $15 for adults and $8 for children under age 12. Menu includes chicken noodle soup, half a baked chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, vegetable and dessert. The event will be dine in or carryout. Dinner is open to the public. VFW Post 2799 Auxiliary will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, coffee or tea. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under age 12.
