Bank theft suspect arrested

A suspect was arrested Friday in connection with the theft of $14,000 from Huntington Bank in Giant Eagle on U.S. Route 224, according to police reports.

Danielle DeFalco, 23, of Warren, turned herself in at the Boardman Police Department and is charged with theft.

A corporate Huntington employee told police that the money went missing sometime between Nov. 28 and Jan. 2.

Through her investigation, the employee identified the suspect as an ATM teller employee.

DeFalco was arraigned Tuesday.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 19.
