SENIOR CITIZENS
Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at Lowellville City Hall Conference Room. Lunch will be provided. For reservations, call Paula Kacic at 330-718-2856. Brenda Perry, president, will preside, and Judge Robert Rusu will be the guest speaker. New members are welcome; Lowellville residency is not a requirement. Dues of $10 are being accepted. To report illness or death among members, call Jean Rotz, sunshine chairwoman, at 330-536-8228. Birthdays and anniversaries for February and March will be acknowledged. Bingo and a 50-50 raffle will follow the business meeting. If Lowellville schools are canceled due to weather, there will be no meeting.
Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet March 13 at Drake’s Landing Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The social hour will begin at 11 a.m., with lunch at 11:45, followed by the meeting and program. Susan Harris will preside. Sara Churchill, digital services librarian for the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, will discuss the library’s online services. The community service project will be donations to Mahoning County Public Library’s summer literacy program. Grilled chicken salad or the buffet lunch, which will feature Parmesan-crusted cod and pasta with meatballs, will be served. All area educators are invited to attend.
