Phantoms falter in 3rd period vs. Buccaneers

DES MOINES, IOWA

The Youngstown Phantoms conceded three goals in about four minutes during a 5-2 loss to the Des Moines Buccaneers Friday night.

Des Moines’ Matt Brown scored two of those three goals and assisted on Michael Mancinelli’s tally. The scoring outburst broke a 2-2 stalemate.

Josh DeLuca scored unassisted and Brett Murray had a goal off an assist from Liam Dennison for Youngstown (22-18-1-3). Christian Stoever made 27 saves in defeat.

The two teams meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
