MINERAL RIDGE
Fran Kesner scored 27 points and Alexa Harkins added 16 as the Rams breezed past the Badgers in a sectional semifinal. Kesner made 11 of 18 free-throw attempts and Harkins made eight of nine at the line. Mineral Ridge led 12-2 after one quarter and 30-8 at halftime. Lyda Kastor and Lexie Boyle each had 10 points for Berkshire. Mineral Ridge will visit second-seeded Newton Falls in a sectional final Saturday at 1 p.m.

Haley Eskra’s 20 points included six 3-pointers for the Rebels. Her 48 this season set a new school record. Eskra also made five steals and three assists. Payton Huff contributed 13 points, six steals and six rebounds. Tanner Hoffer had 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Crestview advances to a sectional final game Saturday at 1 p.m. at Southeast. For the Vikings, Haylee Kachner and Laura Hood each scored 12 points.

YOUNGSTOWN
Kristen Gill and NeSyiah Taylor combined for 56 points as the Eagles (9-12) crushed the Trojans (5-18) in a sectional semifinal. Gill scored 30 points, including five 3-pointers. Taylor had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor Jones added 10 points for Valley Christian, which will visit top-seeded McDonald in a sectional final at 1 p.m. Saturday. Aebigayle D’Ostroph led Sebring with 13 points.

Courtney Mercer scored 19 points and made four assists and four steals to lead the Blue Jays (11-12). Abigail Spalding scored 14 points while Ashley Cameron contributed 10 points and four steals. Jackson-Milton advances to play at Lisbon on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a sectional final. For the Rockets, Julianna Lellio led with fie points.

Izzy Perez led the Blue Devils with 18 points, six assists and six steals in a sectional semifinal victory. Perez has the school record with 355 career steals. The previous record of 251 was established by Karlee Pezzano. Chloe Smith added 15 points and five rebounds and five assists and Cadee Johnson had 12 points and five rebounds. Maddie Liberati had 10 points and eight rebounds for Lisbon (16-7). Hunter Weekley led the Tigers (3-20) with 10 points.
