Tickets are running low for comedian Bill Engvall’s upcoming show at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW. Hopewell extends run of ‘A Raisin in the Sun’

To meet demand, Hopewell Theatre has added a performance to its sold-out run of “A Raisin In The Sun.” The extra performance will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday The theater is located at 702 Mahoning Ave. Tickets are $13 ($10 for senior citizens and students). Oakland will present ‘Frozen Jr.’ in the fall

The Oakland Center for the Arts’ Kids First Theatre Initiative has secured the rights for Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” stage musical and will perform the musical in September and October at Trinity Fellowship Church, 4749 South Ave.

Brendan Byers, executive director of the Oakland, said the Oakland is among the first in the area to obtain the rights to the musical. Ticket information will be released soon at oaklandcenter.info.

YSU jazz ensembles in free Stambaugh concert

The Youngstown State University jazz ensembles, directed by Kent Engelhardt and Dave Kana, will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave. The program will feature music by YSU alumni Sam D’Angelo, David Lalama, David Rivello and Michael Kamuf as well as music by current YSU students Herbie Hunkele, Colt Hutchinson, Matt Jackson and Matt Eustace.

“Gotham” (8 p.m., Fox): Gordon races to uncover the criminal element threatening to end talks of Gotham’s reunification with the mainland.

“Million Little Things” (9:01 P.M., FOX): As her friends anxiously await the outcome of Maggie’s surgery, an unexpected arrival from her mother leads to a tense first meeting with Gary.

“death in paradise” (9 p.m., pbs): The team investigates the apparent suicide of the prime suspect of its current case. This episode is part six of eight.
