“Funny Girl,SDRq The Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, will hold auditions at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and 25. The production will be directed by David Jendre, with musical director Matthew White and choreographer Lori George. Those auditioning should prepare a song that showcases voice and range and wear comfortable attire for dance. Rehearsals will begin in late March. Performance dates are May 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19. “The Good Humor Radio Hour: L’Amour Noir,” YSU’s Department of Communication will hold auditions from 4 to 7 p.m. March 18 and 19 in Bliss Hall, room 2258, at Youngstown State University, 1 University Plaza. Voice actors, musicians, audio technicians and sound effects (Foley) artists are needed. Members of the community are invited to audition. The production is a radio style live audio drama which will take place April 16 and 17 at Butler North, 524 Wick Ave. Sides (script pieces) and information are available through the Good Humor Radio Hour Facebook page or by contacting Dr. Fred Owens at fowens@ysu.edu.
